This snap is made with high quality acrylic paint.
Acrylic pouring painting is a relatively new technique where acrylic paint is mixed with some type of pouring medium and then poured onto a surface in a variety of ways.
After that, the surface is tilted in several directions to let the paint flow, and the colors interact in unpredictable yet always interesting ways.
After the surface (I call it sheet) is completely dry, I then choose specific designs on them, I glue a clear glass cabochon onto the one I find the most intriguing. Then, a really unique cabochon is born. Those cabochons are used to make the snaps.
With one sheet I make several cabochons. Although they share the same primary colors, each one of them is different from the other, which makes them it even more beautiful and interesting, especially when combined on a bracelet or other piece of jewelry.
There are a lot of techniques and each one of them produces amazingly different results.
The pictures rarely do them justiceā¦. You would have to see them in person to fully appreciate their beauty. All in all, these snaps are just uniquely gorgeous.
